In my travels to Budapest and amongst the many people I saw for consults, there was one particular woman who caught my interest. She was losing her hair, but in an unusual way. She was beginning take on the hair style look of a monk, where the top of the head is bald and a hair style very similar to a monk. Using clairvoyance and putting the woman into a trance state, I used a familiar prayer to get the 'spirit' to speak. Obviously I knew this was a monk. My only concern was to tell it to leave as it was interfering in this woman's life. The spirit monk spoke briefly through the woman, and in this short period of time, answered it's request to stay in the earth plane, by sending it to another place, I know of, where 'lost souls' do dwell and don't care or recognize what's going on. I gave an Edgar Casey Remedy to the woman to help her grow her hair back, and on the last day before coming back to Canada, she contacted me to let me know that her hair was growing back! Now...the other flip side of the coin could be that this woman was suffering from somatic symptoms from her past, which physically appeared as losing hair. . . . or it could have been that both this 'spirit monk' and her somatic symptoms could have both been in sync with each other causing the hair loss, weight gain and crooked nose to slowly appear. These are things that science cannot discern and where innate gifts, and intuition in combination need to attain a positive end result. The why's and reasons are not the issue when in the midst of the presenting situation.

I recently was told of a story about a rooming house this past week, from a colleague from another organization, about an incident that happened in his rooming house. Unfortunately I was not able to go visit the scene of the crime, but he revealed to me a couple of paranormal photos, after the case was over. Apparently a man died violently from alcohol poisioning in the bathroom of the halfway house, which has been asked of me to remain private. In the photos was one single floating orb. I call orbs, 'earth bound spirits' because they have issues that are not resolved thus preventing them from moving on into the Light. Or, these orbs don't know they're dead and now in spirit....or that they themselves don't have any understanding of what it's like to be a spirit and where to go next. anyways, I explained this to the colleague and asked him if he wants to send this soul/orb onwards to the Light. So far, no answer. He's very much absorbed with starting up a band, but has respect for the spirit world. I'm still in contact with the fellow and hope to set up a time to move this earthbound soul onwards.

	Thanks and blessings.

In the late 1990's, I casually popped into the Beadery store located on Bank St., ottawa. I handed over my business card then, as I was paying for some beads and supplies. the cashier and her friend were quite amazed and interested in paranormal investigators. they relayed a story about a so-called spirit who was ocassionally smashing lightbulbs in the store at night. As well, upon the opening of the store, (I may not have the time period correct) the owners had a child, who passed very early in age and the supplies of the child are kept in a small room in the basement where the bulk of the beads and supplies are. The cashier asked permission if I could take a 'look' a 'quick investigation' of the basement. I was shown the larger room. I can pick up electric static energy from any object or wall, which is indicative that a spirit is around. They then showed me the small room, where some of the child's clothes are. I saw with my second perception or second sight, a very light blue energy in the room. The child's spirit was still in the room. So I deducted that a second spirit was in the room. I ran my hand across every object including the fuse box. It is most often that spirits like to hide in fuse boxes, sewers, or the furnace as the point of origin (from the cases that I've investigated in the past). I found that the spirit of the 'man' was an electrician, and saw that he wore a blue checkered top. He was very angry. Unless I got permission to help this man, from the owner, I could not do anything. I did not. What was strange, was that later on that evening, I went swimming with a friend who knew about my second sight/hearing/sensing gifts. There was just the two of us in the pool. As I swam to one end of the pool, I turned around and was shocked to see the spirit of the man walking on top of the water towards me. I yelled to my friend what was happening. He, the spirit decided to show himself, which was wearing a checkered blue shirt, black jeans, bare feet. It looked as if he died from an electrical blast, as he was burnt looking all over and smoke fumes rose from his head. He projected the feelings of anger and sadness. I turned to him and said, "go away. I didn't get permission to help you move on to the Heavenly Realm, and your anger isn't going to get you there. I feel you want revenge and I'm not here to do that, so go away, in Jesus' name." In the next moment, the spirit disappeared and I never saw him again.

One note: please do not contact the beadery store about their child, or this other haunting. I suspect it will be received with negative consequences for myself as the owners wanted this investigation to be quiet. Early in the 90's, when paranormal activity was becomming the norm, the Ottawa Citizen published an article on this store and it decreased the number of visitors and sales. I guess money is more important than a spiritually clean store.

	Thanks for your comments.

	Mayfair History
1074 Bank St
Ottawa, ON K1S 3X3

The Mayfair Theatre was designed and built in 1932 in the depths of the Great Depression, as the second Spanish Revival style atmospheric cinema in the city.
Fred Robertson, a retailer from Almonte, was the Mayfair's original owner. The Mayfair opened on 5 December 1932 with its showings of The Blue Danube. Adult admission prices were 15 cents for matinees, 25 cents for evening performances, with each child admitted for ten and 15 cents respectively. After The Blue Danube completed a three-day run, the Mayfair presented its first double bill with Bring 'Em Back Alive and X Marks the Spot. At the outset, the theatre's sound system was supplied by Northern Electric while Montreal-based Canadian Theatre Supply provided the projection and stage equipment.

In October 1981, the Mayfair adopted a repertory format and in the following month Keith Davidson became theatre manager.
During the heyday of the new “talking picture” theatres, strong competition with movie palaces encouraged new independent theatres to differentiate themselves as true neighbourhood cinemas.
Despite alterations to the storefronts, renovations to the lobby and the removal of the original upright sign, the Mayfair Theatre maintains a high degree of integrity, looking essentially the same as it did when it opened,
With its opening in 1932, the Mayfair Theatre continued the tradition of owner-operated theatres along Bank Street established when the Avalon Theatre was completed in 1928. With the closing of the Phoenix Theatre (1915) in 1991, the Mayfair became the oldest surviving movie theatre business on Bank Street. Its popularity as both a neighbourhood and city-wide theatre, its intended purpose, has remained throughout its history.
Believed to have been designed by Mr. John P. MacLaren*, an Ottawa architect. MacLaren was born in Wakefield in 1865 and was educated at the University of Toronto. After practicing in southern Ontario, he returned to Ottawa in 1897. His most noteworthy buildings in the City are the First Church of Christ Scientist, and the West Branch Library, 1918. He also designed Knox Presbyterian Church (1926) in Manotick.

The ‘atmospheric style’ of theatre design is attributed to John Eberson (1875-1955), an Austrian-born architect, who began designing theatres in the United States in the 1920s. He became renowned in 1923 when he designed the world’s first ‘atmospheric theatre,’ the Holblitzelle's Majestic Theatre in Houston Texas. Often integrating other styles of the time, Eberson’s concept was based on the desire to create an environment of illusion for Americans to distract them from life's problems and provide them with an atmosphere of rest and beauty. The style imbued the theatre goer with the sensation of being transported to the skies, villages, and lands brought forth through murals, twinkling stars, staircases, lanterns, and much more. Common themes included an Italian garden, Persian court, and Spanish patio.

Research conducted by staff confirmed that the Mayfair Theatre has cultural heritage value and is worthy of protection under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. Ontario Regulation outlines the criteria for determining cultural heritage value or interest.
In 2008, the Mayfair was designated an official heritage building by the City of Ottawa for its unique architectural and cultural value to the nation’s capital.

In November 2008, a new partnership consisting of filmmakers Lee Demarbre and Ian Driscoll, projectionist and film conservator Paul Gordon and film scholar John Yemen announced that they had signed a ten-year lease with owner Stephen Ng.In July 2009 two of the founding members of the new partnership, John Yemen and Paul Gordon left the group to pursue other projects.[citation needed] John Yemen was the individual who sent the city a proposal for heritage designation in the summer of 2008. The makeup of the partnership is now Lee Demarbre (programmer), Ian Driscoll (marketing), Petr Maur (graphic design), and Josh Stafford.

Ontario - Ottawa - Courtyard Restaurant - A woman is often seen looking out one of the second floor windows. Also, staff closing up for the night have heard footsteps, and have seen what they believe to be a person. Theory is that the woman was trapped in the building during a fire, and is now coming to the window looking for her rescuer.
Apparently there is a house that people are saying is Haunted on Station Blvd in Ottawa. This is the house that my wife lived at in the Late 60's. The house is now a Housing Community Group Home, and the staff is saying the place is haunted.

I'll be asking the people in charge there if we can conduct a Resident Investigation.

OVPPI has been chosen as a SPRUZ Community Spotlight
Click on the link below...
http://my.spruz.com/pt/Community-Spotlight,-Week-of-4-12-10/blog.htm

	What is mentioned about OVPPI

	Community of the Week

This week's featured community is the Ottawa Valley Paranormal/Phenomenon Investiagions, or OVPPI for short. It was created by CanWEBada, and is a website for the investigation of paranormal activity within the Ottawa Valley area.

OVPPI has two very important qualities I want to highlight. First -- much like last week's Site of the Week -- it covers a unique subject. The second quality further refines this: it's targeted at a local level. By doing this OVPPI makes it easier for visitors to feel like they're part of a community, since they may already share their physical community with each other.

That's not to say balance isn't needed; it most certainly is. Create a site that's too local and you risk alienating those that may drop in from other parts of the world wide web. Create a site that's too broad and chances are someone else has already done it. OVPPI does a great job at striking this balance by using elements such as the "Latest Global UFO Reports" widget while at the same time having a widget that displays the local weather.

Congratulations once again to CanWEBada and everyone at the Ottawa Valley Paranormal/Phenomenon Investigations! Stop by their introduction page for more information.
Ottawa is the capital of Canada, which is also the one of the top five largest cities throughout the country. Located in the Ottawa Valley, this city is positioned in the eastern part of Ontario, which is also shares space on the border of Quebec. Throughout the city, there are many different sites that a person could visit when they are in the mood to explore various realms of the paranormal.

What once stood as the Carleton County Jail is now where you will find the International Youth Hostel. This site offers historical significance because it is where the last hanging in Canada officially took place, which happened to be of an innocent victim by the name of P.J. Whalen. At the time, it was believed that Whalen had murdered Thomas D'Arcy Mcgee, who was an Irish politician in the area. Since the hanging, reports of extreme hauntings have been made, including more than one ghost. When Halloween comes around, a dummy is hung, where witnesses hear the sound of gallow doors opening. It is said to be quite a terrifying sound to hear. Various tours of the jail are available to visitors.

A lot of paranormal activity has been reported to occur at the Chateau Laurier. The Chateau is a large hotel that is rather attractive despite the eerie feeling you are greeted with when you enter the premises. One of the ghosts that you may encounter is actually the founder of the hotel. While on an expedition to bring back furniture from Europe, he unfortunately perished in the sinking of the Titanic. Numerous residents of the Chateau, as well as those who work at the hotel have reported to encounter a variety of ghosts. Other odd events include strange noises and shaking. The ghost of a small girl is also said to haunt the premises. For those who are interested, there is a ghost tour that makes a stop at this site.

In Ottawa, some of the employees who work at the City Hall have claimed to feel an odd feeling when entering various rooms. At night, when no one is supposed to be on the premises, workers have also heard footsteps that cannot be explained. In the area, there is also a museum in the vicinity that offers quite a few scares. The Museum of Nature located on Metcalfe Street is said to be quite an experience when the sun sets. On the fourth floor, in the middle of the night, lights have been known to turn on and off by themselves. A Native American display, which includes masks and other artifacts, has been known to move on its own. When it comes time to walking their security rounds, the guards dread every minute because of all the odd occurrences associated with this site. The fourth floor also presents cold spots and strange noises.

While dining at the Courtyard Restaurant, you may encounter the ghost of a woman, who tends to peer out of one of the windows located on the second floor. Employees of this eatery have also heard unexplainable footsteps about the premises. When looking out of the corner of their eyes, they believe that they have seen what looks like a person. Legend has it that a woman burned to death while the building was on fire. When the ghost comes to the window, it is actually looking for who she believes should have rescued her.

When you reach the Polish Village, the tale of a murdered woman haunts the residents. A woman by the name of Stefania was killed. The exact details of her demise are hazy, as some claim she was killed by a ghost, while others insist that she committed suicide. It has never been concluded. The townsfolk believe that her ghost haunts her former residence and since her death, only a few have dared to step foot within.
